 Welcome to the YFAC Basketball League, where young athletes thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment! Our league caters to a diverse range of young players. The Youth Basketball League is committed to fostering a love for the game while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development. Take advantage of our early registration period for the discounted price of $95, followed by a regular registration price of $115. Late registration will go up to $135.   • Age-Appropriate Divisions: We plan to offer age-appropriate divisions so that every child can enjoy the game at their level.

  • Dedicated Coaches: Our league is led by volunteers, comprised mostly of parents, that are passionate about teaching the game and helping young athletes grow.

  • Safe and Inclusive Environment: Our top priorities are the safety and well-being of our young athletes. We're committed to providing a safe, inclusive space where every child can thrive.

  • Community Spirit: The Young Family Athletic Center is more than just a sports facility; it's where the community comes together. We'll organize events and activities that foster a sense of belonging and togetherness.

  • Once the registration process is underway, specific schedules, team assignments, and additional information regarding the YFAC Basketball League will be distributed. We are dedicated to ensuring that every participant has a fulfilling and well-organized experience, and we look forward to sharing more details with you as the season approaches.

Youth League FAQs

Do I have to live in Norman to play?

No, you do not have to live in Norman or attend Norman Public Schools to play.

Where are games played?

The games will be played at the Young Family Athletic Center.    

When are games played?

Games will be played on weeknights from 5:30-9:00 pm and some weekends from 9:00 am-8:00 pm, beginning January 5, 2026, and finishing by March 8, 2026.

When and where are practices held?

It is up to the coaches to decide when and how often they would like to practice. NOC offers low-cost practice space at the NOC Hangar. For information, email NOCschedules@gmail.com.   

What do we wear for uniforms?

All teams are required to wear numbered jerseys/shirts. Both light (home) and dark (away) versions are required. YFAC reversible basketball jerseys will be available for purchase through the Jordan store at YFAC.  Teams may elect to provide their own uniforms. For your convenience, we do encourage all players registering without a team to purchase the YFAC jersey.

How are teams formed?

Players who do not request a coach will be assigned to a roster based on their school. Buddy requests will be honored whenever possible.    

Who will coach my player?

If your player does not request a specific coach, they will be assigned to one of our volunteer coaches who sign up through this registration. If you do request a coach, please make sure that the coach is expecting your player.

What if we already have a team?

If you already have a team put together, list your coach's last name during registration, and we will ensure the roster is assembled correctly.    

When do I find out what team I'm on?

The rosters will be assembled in the weeks following the registration deadline. Look for an email from Team Sideline, and also be contacted directly by your coach.    

Refund Policy Registration fees, less a $10 processing fee and late fee (if applicable), will be refunded if the player withdraws before the first game. Late fees are not refunded.
